The people of Yamus are being afflicted with a plague that none of their doctors can identify or cure. They have reached out to Starfleet for help. Starfleet has pulled the Olympic Class, USS Comfort, out of mothballs and staffed her with experienced medical professionals and starship operations personnel. They have given the ship to Commander Venik, who was the Director of Medical Services on Deep Space 19. This is not his first time in the top command of a Starship, he was XO of a ship for 9 years. So this is nothing new to him.
The Comfort is to go to Yamus V, and rendezvous with the the USS Horatio who was the closest ship when the Yamans called for help. It was the Horatio who contacted Starfleet for help. The Comfort's goal, to discover, locate, and cure the Yamans of this plague. Will they succeed? Will they have to leave the Yamans to their fate? Tune in and find out.
