History

Hovan Ranor and his future wife D'Espall, grew up on a failed Romulan colony. The Romulans there tried to mix all the good qualities of a Romulan with that of a Vulcan. He was with several other children including Saavik. When he was rescued by a Vulcan contingent, he opted to live with his emotions and his lover D'Espall. Both were adopted by Lieutenant Commander Reginald Ranor and his wife Doctor Kitana Ranor of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701. Hovan and D'Espall learned how to be a family and enjoy life, so when the opportunity arose for them to join Starfleet they did. After learning what they could at the Academy, they were allowed to go on a training cruise aboard what used to be their home for more than five years. That mission was, to say the least, interesting. They encountered Khan. Hovan was hit the hardest working alongside his mother in sickbay helping others. D'Espall did her best to help in the science area. After the mission was completed and Khan destroyed, the two were transferred to another ship. Unfortunately an accident in the science lab brought both he and D'Espall into a parallel universe future timeline. There the two spent time studying this universe, its history, and how to use future technology. During this time, D'Espall excelled and was promoted to Lieutenant JG and assigned to the USS Washington. Hovan followed but not as quickly. Starfleet feels he'll get the hang of it once he gets more hands on training which is how he became such a great doctor in his universe.
