Being omnipotent isn't all it's cracked up to be for the Continuum's messiah. Despite his renewed nature and sense of purpose, Q, affectionately known as "Junior", can't seem to get out from under his father's shadow...and that's not a good thing. Q has spent millennia toying with species and many of them have quite a grudge against him, a grudge easily shifted onto Junior.

Having been dispatched to a region of space along the Tholian border which has been in dispute between two rivaling worlds, the last thing anyone needs is something to upset the status quo. While attempting to maintain the peace, the USS Eagle receives an unexpected visitor...Q Junior. The young Q is on the run from those who wish ill upon his father and seeks sanctuary aboard the Federation ship.

The crew must now decide if they are willing to put their lives on the line for this omnipotent being or if they will leave him to his fate.
