The USS Eagle is a Sentinel-class vessel assigned to the Eleventh "Pegasus" Fleet under the command of Captain Mark Anderson which serves as the flagship of Task Group 11-B "Argonaut".

Vessel History

Being the third Federation starship to bear the name, the USS Eagle NCC-83704 was one of three Sentinel-class starships undergoing construction at the Utopia Planetia Fleet Yards when her keel was laid in late 2386. Commander Kaleb Porter, having had experience working with the earliest Sentinel-class vessels produced at Utopia Planetia, was selected to oversee the construction and testing of the USS Eagle. The yard teams continued to incorporate new methods and advances learned by those engineers aboard similar vessels already in the field. By early January, the USS Eagle was ready to begin her first warp stress tests under computer control and escorted by the USS Keldon. The results proved so successful that they exceeded the expectations of yard supervisors and construction continued at a steady pace.

The USS Eagle was transferred to McKinley Station in orbit of Earth in mid-February where she began her final preparations for commissioning and launch. It was around this time that Starfleet Command officially tapped Commander Mark Anderson, a veteran of the Dominion War and former executive officer aboard the USS Houston, as the most likely candidate to receive command of the newest Sentinel-class starship. Commander Anderson began the process of reviewing potential candidates for several senior staff positions while working closely with Commander Porter to oversee the final stages of the Eagle's completion.

Starfleet officially commissioned the USS Eagle NCC-83704 on 1 March 2387 under the command of Lieutenant Commander Mark Anderson. She embarked on her shakedown cruise shortly thereafter, observed by the Starfleet Corps of Engineers. The USS Eagle once again outperformed expectations during the course of her initial shakedown and eventually returned to McKinley Station to take on final crew and supplies before departing for her first assignment along the Tholian border.

Mission Three – Episode 1.3 “And The Children Shall Sing”

1.3 And The Children Shall Sing.png

A peaceful visit to an alien paradise seems to be exactly what the crew of the USS Eagle need after their long journey to Galactic South from Earth. When the son of Captain Anderson is kidnapped, they quickly learn this perfect facade is hiding a dark secret that will astonish the crew and force them to question their very ideals. In a society where children have been outlawed, the Eagle's crew are left with few leads and little assistance from the alien leaders in their search for the captain's missing son. They must compete against the clock and the limitations of the Prime Directive to find James before it is too late...
