Williams, whose Real-Life name is Matt, is the founder of Pegasus Fleet, which was officially formed in October 2009. He is an avid Star Trek fan, and has been simming and commanding simulations since 2007. He currently commands the USS Highlander within the fleet (the direct successor to the USS Endeavour sim, which saw the beginning of Pegasus Fleet), Discovery NX-04 and two additional active characters, along with a number of PNPC characters.
In October 2010, Matt's staff character, Roman Sanchez, was promoted by the Pegasus Fleet Admiralty to the rank of Admiral, as a reward for the time and effort he has put into the fleet since its inception.
In February 2013, Matt stepped down as the Fleet Commanding Officer, due to personal time constraint issues, but returned to a more junior staff position when he applied for and was offered the role of Task Group Commanding Officer for the Atlantis TG towards the end of November that same year.
In March 2015, eager to do more to help out the fleet again, he applied for and was granted the position of Chief of Fleet Operations, overseeing the Task Forces within the fleet. It was in this role that he instigated the fleet's first story arc with Task Force 11 and the Klingon-Gorn War arc.
