History

Construction and Launch

USS Mauretania was constructed by the Starfleet Corps of Engineers division at San Francisco Fleet Yards in orbit of Earth. Construction began in 2402 under the purview of Project Full Circle. The USS Mauretania was designed with Starfleet's Quantum Slipstream Drive at the forefront. The design is aerodynamic and sleek. Interiors of the ship are minimalist, with some creature comforts, but with a clear focus on functionality and scientific methodology.

USS Mauretania was launched from San Francisco Fleet Yards in 2405 under temporary command of Commodore Catherine Waldorf, the officer in command of Project Full Circle. She oversaw the initial shakedown and testing of the USS Mauretania.

In Service

Command of USS Mauretania was awarded to Captain Celia Rhodes, a former researcher and team leader with Project Full Circle. The ship departed San Francisco Fleet yards in 2405 via Quantum Slipstream propulsion to the Delta Quadrant. This monumental expedition was sanctioned to revisit species and anomalies encountered by USS Voyager.
