The "Character Background" mission is actually a category on the USS Endeavour website for players to post stories relating to their character's past, from before they joined the ship In Character. Posts have included writings about character's previous assignments, their life before Starfleet, and significant events that have happened during their lives.

Background Information
- The "Character Background" 'mission' was the brainchild of Captain Byrne, who created it at the very start of the sim's life as a way to encourage players to write about their character's past before their life onboard the ship.
