Executive Order 12-RS003

By order of the Commanding Officer of Pegasus Fleet, the following rules regarding the classification of 'dead' sims and the procedures surrounding their removal by Task Force COs is to go into effect, as of the date this order was passed.

Definiton

  • A 'dead' sim is defined by meeting all of the following conditions:
  1. No activity from any member currently listed on the crew manifest (including but not limited to posting, news items, emails to PFA/TF staff members, personal logs) for a period of 45 days or more
  2. No reports submitted from the CO or the XO for a period of 45 days or more
  3. No communication from the CO or XO to the TF Staff or Fleet Staff in any form for a period of 45 days or more
  4. No response to multiple requests for communication from the TF Staff during the 45 day period

Removal

  • A 'dead' sim may be removed by following the below process:
  1. The TFCO may only determine a sim to be 'dead' if all of the above conditions have been met. Should any one condition be unmet, the sim may not be determined as 'dead'.
  2. The TFCO must include a 7-day warning prior to removal, with the 7th day falling no earlier than the 45th day of the monitored period
  3. The TFCO may then have the authority to remove the sim's Commanding Officer immediately, without the requirement to issue any strikes or additional warnings against the Commanding Officer
  4. The TFCO will then notify the Pegasus Fleet Commanding and Executive Officers, the Judge Advocate General and the Director of Personnel Management.
  5. The DPM will then contact the crew of the 'dead' sim and offer either a transfer, character deletion, or for one of the current crew to apply to assume command, as per Constitution Article III, Section 2.15. If after a period of 7 days no current crew member has applied to take command, the sim will be closed and the crew transferred from it.

Executive Order 11-RS002

By order of the Commanding Officer of Pegasus Fleet, the following Code of Conduct for IRC Operators is to go into effect, as of the date this order was passed.

Code of Conduct for IRC Operator

  • IRC Operators are to maintain courteous decorum at all times, regardless of the topic being discussed or the individual the Operator is in conversation with.
  • IRC Operators should remember that they represent Pegasus Fleet regardless of whether they are in the PF channel or not. Courteous decorum should be maintained even outside of the main #pegasusfleet channel, unless it has been made clear to the individual that comments made are in no way representative of the fleet or of any fleet position the individual holds.

Warnings

  • Warning IRC users is done over PM. After the warning if the member continues to disobey a reasonable warning, they operator will kick him or her. If they continue, they will kick/ban for 24 hours.

Operators Leaving the Room

  • If you leave the channel and there are no operators present, then you must op/instruct to op themselves a member with a Voice (+). You should also ensure that there is an op in the room whilst you're away or busy.
  • If there is nobody with a voice present, then you must use your best judgement to choose whom to op.
  • If an Op marks themselves away or busy, and there are other Ops present, they must immediately De-Op themselves, demoting themselves temporarily down to a voice.

Misusing Op Powers

  • Misusing Op Powers - such as kicking members for fun, taking over the channel with other non-approved scripting programs, acting insubordinate or irresponsible, or exacting unfair warnings/kicks on members will result in you losing your Op privileges.
  • Being rude or derisive to members or breaking the IRC rules yourself will also result in you losing your op privileges.
  • Any Op seen to be abusing their powers or being rude to members in the channel is to be reported to the PFCO, who will then remove their Op status.

The Chat

  • Remember, the chat is there for everyone to get to know each other, and to build a friendly, productive environment. Operators are there first and foremost to serve the members and potential members of the fleet who visit our IRC channels. Any Operators who forget or ignore this key mandate may face the removal or restriction of their IRC powers.
