Welcome to Velara

Welcome to the beautiful shores of Velara Colony. Located in the Alpha Quadrant near the Pleides Cluster, surrounded by the Exploratory Frontier, Velara was established for the eventual expansion of Federation Space to continue their mission of peace and exploration.

Velara's original intentions were for colonization but soon grew into one of the leading research facilities for oceanic and atmospheric studies. With masses such as the Pleides Cluster and the Taurus Dark Cloud nearby, science doesn't end in space.

Come join us as we continue to explore this new area of space as we discover more about the planet, our neighbors, and ourselves.

Velara Colony is largely a science and character development based simulation. While we have a marine department, it is rather small compared to other simulations and is present primarily for safety and defense purposes for colony security and science team expeditions and works heavily with our Security teams, who operate much like a police and law enforcement service.

Velara Colony is a proud member of Pegasus Fleet, the Hyperion Task Group.

If you have an idea for a new type of character, we are certainly very much welcome to hearing your proposal. Velara is the perfect simulation for multiple positions in the civilian sector.
