General Overview

The Quisquilliae Class Salvage vessel was a multi-purpose vessel designed for the federation's need to manage and transport both salvage and unstable waste materials. The Federation realized the need to efficiently design resources whilst not limiting them to one specialized purpose. During the Dominion war there was an increased need for workable field recovery vessel. With the fleet's resources stretched and shipyards working overtime to cope with the needs of the war designers looked to the original Quisquillae design originally serving as a garbage scow and refitted the vessel for battle field recovery. While the original variant only carried 6 decks, an additional deck was added to allow for an additional cargo bay and the relocation of the Waste Management Areas making it possible to perform the refit to existing systems to allow for Starship Recovery. Once the war had passed, the vessel was able to continue it's service in waste management maintaining it's capability to be called upon for salvage recovery.
