Mission 1
New Beginnings, Completed
While awaiting her crew, the newly commissioned USS Washington, Sovereign class, launched on a tour of the Federation for her shakedown cruise. Commander Enor met her staff, but only a few of them stayed due to personal problems. Doctor T'Stala conducted physicals. But things were not quite right with the ship. Replicators gave the wrong food. When asked for the time, the computer gave Commander Aishel Enor a read through of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and had to be manually stopped to stop the playback. Lieutenant JG Pamela Roth was taken to the Marine deck not long after this. It is soon learned that the voice recognition protocols of the computer system were shorting out, causing all the mix ups.
Mission 2
Transphasic Trouble, In Progress
A Federation council member, Councilman Baram Amabo, wanted to create a new torpedo capable of fighting the Borg and the prototype was being built aboard the ship. The Romulans and Klingons have sent scientists and engineers to work in a joint effort. While the prototype was being built on the ship, the councilor was having secret meetings with someone deep in unexplored space. Nothing is seen of him, only a dark outline in a dark room and he is not happy with the minimal progress being made by the Councilman and the scientists who have decided to use protomatter in the weapon. The communications officer picked up gaps in the communications logs. When they look at it, it was a code sent to unexplored space. The second time the Councilman contacted his master, the man said he needed a reminder of what useless information does. The next morning, his sonic shower exploded, covering him in acid and throwing him into corridor. For his own protection, the Councilman is locked in a holding cell in the Brig and is questioned by LtJG Martin Tam and Counselor Louise Hamilton. He is thoroughly uncooperative and remains as pugnacious as ever. He does not want to help catch his would-be assassin and the crew of the Washington is very curious as to why. Because of the attack, Marines were stationed around the Romulan scientist Aeris and the Klingon scientist Ka'Tal. With the promise of more progress on the torpedo, will the assassin try to steal it and the plans? Can the crew of the Washington figure it out in time? Stay tuned...
